Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief signs agreement with WFP to support Yemen Response Plan

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a joint cooperation agreement with the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) on Thursday to support the Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan 2020.

The objective of the cooperation with WFP is to “purchase and issue 81,963 metric tons of essential food and supervising the distribution process,” KSrelief said in a tweet.

The joint cooperation plans to purchase and distribute the aid to 8.9 million people in all governorates of Yemen.

KSrelief was established in 2015 by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and has since provided humanitarian efforts to more than 53 countries around the world, with millions benefiting.

Yemen is one of KSrelief’s main benefactors, with over $3,092,098,191 provided to Yemen in aid by the Kingdom through the many initiatives and projects of KSrelief.
