Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the completion of 80 per cent of the Internal Roads Project for Al Khawaneej 2 area extending 77km.

Endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the project is being undertaken under the 5-year plan aimed at building internal roads in residential districts.

As part of improving internal roads network in the city, earlier this year RTA completed a 12km stretch linking Sama Al Jadaf with Al Khail Road southwards and another road project that now links Sheikh Rashid Street (north) and Oud Mateena 1 project to the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment to the surrounding.

Over the past two years, RTA completed internal road projects at Nad Al Sheba 4 and Hatta including 56km of roads (50 km of roads at District 282 of Nad Al Sheba 4, and 6 km of roads at District 618 of Nad Al Sheba 1).
